CCRESA College Night for Parents & Students Grades 8-12

Parents and Students Grades 8 thru 12, come join us for CCRESA's College Night.  Over 30 institutions will be represented.  The event will be held in the CCRESA Conference Center, located in the SouthPoint Mall, 1013 South U.S. 27, St. Johns on September 21, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.  Pre-register for the fair and print your bar-code at  Get answers at College Night about how to apply, criteria for acceptance, financial aid, scholarships and more.  Breakout Sessions will be from Session 1: 6:15 - 6:45 p.m. and Session 2 (Repeat): from 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. and will cover:

 "Financial Aid" - Jim Owens from Lansing Community College's Financial Aid Office will discuss Financial Aid.  Two sessions will be offered.

"Transitioning from High School to College:  A Guide for Parents and Students"  The transition from high school to the first year of college can be exciting and nerve wracking for students and parents.  Hear from parents and recent college graduates who have lived through the transition, along with tips for parents and students on how to prepare.  Two sessions will be offered.  Sample questions to be discussed:

What if a student does not want to go to college?  Describe some of the biggest differences between high school and college life.
