Attendance Policy

  • After five absences, the student meets with the Career Education Coordinator and a local district representative to address attendance concerns.
  • At nine absences (trimester) or twelve absences (semester), the student is at risk of removal and meets with a committee to review excused vs. unexcused absences.
  • Continued unexcused absences or severe circumstances may result in an attendance contract or removal from the course.
  • To view the full attendance policy, please see the Career Connections Student Handbook below.

Cell Phone Policy

  • During instructional time, cell phones and electronic listening devices must be silenced and stored in teacher-designated areas unless explicitly approved for instructional use.
  • Cell phones may be used during breaks, transitions, emergencies, or for learning activities at the instructor’s discretion; urgent messages should go through the Career Education office.
  • Consequences for violations are determined by the instructor and may include loss of participation points, missed lab time, additional assignments, or other corrective actions.
  • Repeated violations will result in parent and administrative notification, with continued offenses leading to loss of cell phone privileges at CCRESA, including during field trips and events.
  • To view the full cell phone policy, please see the Career Connections Student Handbook below.

Driving & Parking Policy

  • Students with a valid driver’s license must register their vehicle and display a CCRESA parking window cling to park in school lots; driving is a privilege and is at the student’s own risk.
  • Students must follow all driving and parking rules, including parking only in assigned spaces, not accessing vehicles during class time, and driving safely on school grounds.
  • Vehicles on CCRESA or local district property are subject to search based on reasonable suspicion, and refusal to comply may result in suspension.
  • Violations of parking or driving regulations may result in disciplinary action, including loss of driving privileges, towing, fines, or suspension.
  • To view the full Driving & Parking policy, please see the Career Connections Student Handbook below.
